About SamSERV
SamSERV was started by Pat Norton in 2002. Previously Pat
had been doing web design work for himself and some friends. When
he and his wife purchased a home he knew that he needed to have some
tree work done but didn't have the cash to afford it. He approached
another small company in the Milwaukee area about bartering services.
Hoppe Tree Service accepted and SamSERV web design was born.
Pat has been involved with computers, programming and networking since he was old enough to type. Pat Graduated from the University of Phoenix Online in early 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He promptly started working in the Pre-Press Department at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. There he manages multiple computer systems and utilizes his wide variety of computer skills on a daily basis.
In the Fall of 2005 Pat began attending Regis University in the pursuit of his Masters Degree in Computer Information Technology. This Degree focuses almost entirely on the use of Database systems, in particular Oracle. Pat is continuing the pursuit of this degree while continuing to work full time and serve over 20 SamSERV clients on a regular basis. In 2007 Pat will start his thesis Practicum. He will maintain a Lead role as a Junior DBA at Regis while he helps to maintain the existing system and upgrade the school Databases to the new Oracle 10g product.
